Racism, It Is Not As Simple As Black And White!
Back in the mid 60's when the term Afro American's was first introduced, it was a huge change in our history but also a turning point for those who clearly wanted to be recognized, accepted and respected! Time to Spare, Time to Reflect!
There is a wonderful saying that goes something like this "Never judge a book by its cover!" A rather wise phrase and it hits home for anyone who has a disability that according to society doesn't quite fit the visual confirmation and the neat little package that society has tried to tie up with a little bow with their interpretation of the word "disability!" Expressing My Feelings!
I always found comfort in expressing my feelings by writing down my thoughts and found that by expressing those feelings and putting them on paper, I could release any tension and anxiety that I might have been feeling! I have written articles for local newspapers as well as through this fantastic website.
