Make the World a Better Place by Setting an Example

With each new year comes New Year's Resolutions.

When I
received the challenge to respond to the topic of "Make the World a Better Place", I thought about how I could set an example to make this concept a reality.

It really would be a wonderful world if everyone would be more tolerant of each other and learn to respect people no matter what religion, nationality or race they were. Obviously this is not an easy task to accomplish but I personally believe that if one person could start off by setting an example to their children and grandchildren that maybe one day we could make the world a better place.

I try my best to judge an individual by the person they are, not the color of their skin, religion or nationality.  I think that having people in my life from different backgrounds and religions enriches my life by learning about them and respecting their thoughts and having the chance to exchange some of my ideas with then as well.

If everyone would take the time to reach out to someone who is "different" and learn about them, maybe they would find that they are not that "different" afterall.

Think about it and be the one to set an example.

Peace to all!
