For those of us who remember what we were in the middle of doing at that most horrendous moment in time,  we all have to reflect on what that day meant to all of us!

For those who have lost loved ones, the wounds are slowly healing but will never be fully healed because it was one of the most unthinkable events that will forever be remembered in history!

Who would have ever imagined that any nation would be bold enough to cross in the United States and plan such  calculated and deadly attacks that would forever change the course of history not only for those in this country but for the entire world!

How could this happen and have we really learned that no nation should be foolish enough to think or should I say,be arrogant enough to believe that this could never happen on their own soil because they think they are a power nation!

Why does it take a tragedy like this for us to forget how important family is and that we get so wrapped up in our daily lives that we take those who we claim we love for granted and don't tell them on a daily basis.

Last night I was watching a special on those who survived the tragedy of the twin towers and the Washington attack and one woman said that we all have to live our lives like it is our last and never take our loved ones for granted! She also said that those we love need to be told on a daily basis!  I couldn't have agreed with her more but it is sad that it took something like the tragedy of 9/11 for her to come to that conclusion.

Family, whether it is of blood line or friendship should never be taken for granted and we all need to reach out to one another and instead of fighting among ourselves, join forces to stamp out hatred and take the time to understand our own differences and those of others and accept them, for with power comes strength and I truly believe that the more we take the time to understand why hatred seems to motivate violence that eventually there will be strength in numbers and give us the power to stand united and stamp out those who threaten our beliefs and peace!
